Advanced Distribution Management Systems IT and OT Converge – Utility Operational Experience and Why IT Matters

This panel will present utility experience and best practices in Advanced Distribution Management Systems as it relates to the convergence of information and operations technologies (IT and OT). As more critical Smart Grid applications are moving to the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), utilities are more dependent on IT systems and data to drive utility OT performance. Modern ADMS must be scalable for the major storm events and integrate to all the new Smart Grid applications such as meter data management and distributed energy resource management. Utilities will present best practices for information management systems upgrade processes to incrementally keep systems current and add new Smart Grid functionality.
