The environmental session at the 1972 Winter Meeting dealt with research needed to assure an adequate and environmentally compatible supply of electric power for the future. It was especially designed to afford electrical manufacturers the opportunity to express their views of how, where, when and by whom this research should be carried out. Utility and governmental representatives had expressed themselves on this subject at the 1971 Winter Meeting as reported in PES Special Publication No.2 (2)
