Volume 16: Issue 6: Getting It All in the Mix

This issue provides a worldwide view of integrating DERs. As summarized in their guest editorial, Barry Mather and Guohui Yuan discuss the tremendous growth of PV systems and how they and other DERs can be effectively interconnected to the benefit of both transmission and distribution systems. The important role that the IEEE plays, particularly through revised standards and the education of our membership, remains key to the reliability and economic operation and planning of the future grid. This November issue summarizes the wide experience of authors spanning eight countries.
