Webinar 25 Aug 2020

The increasing penetration of distributed generation and the reliability requirements of sub-transmission power system bring up a need to model and analyze transmission and sub-transmission networks together. To meet the high computation efficiency requirements of power system applications for transmission and sub-transmission network, the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Power System Operation, Planning, and Economics (PSOPE) committee Technologies & Innovations Sub-Committee Faster Than Real-Time Computing Task Force studied an innovative graph computing technology based on graph database which will be presented in this Webinar. The concept and approach of the graph nodal and hierarchical parallelism will be introduced. The graph computing technologies are applied to topology analysis, state estimation, power flow, contingency analysis and one line diagram automation generation applications. It has great potentials on transient simulations and power system optimizations.
