Vijay Vittal, Regents’ Professor and Ira A. Fulton Chair Professor, Arizona State University Prof. Vittal is a Regents’ Professor and the Ira A. Fulton Chair Professor at Arizona State University. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. He has been a member of IEEE PES since 1977. He is presently the IEEE PES Vice President for Technical Activities and is the Chair of the IEEE PES Technical Council.

This webinar will highlight and present the results of a detailed survey conducted by the IEEE PES Industry Technical Support Leadership Committee (ITSLC) of several electric utilities, RTOs, and TSOs, around the world. This webinar is a follow-up to the webinar which provided an overview of the results of the survey on May 20, 2020 and specifically addresses the technical impacts of the COVID –19 pandemic. The webinar will address topics related to the impact of the pandemic on power system operation, asset management, seasonal maintenance and impact on plans for grid modernization and reinforcement.
