IEEE Smart Village, Day 4 (AM) - Water for Rural Needs

Water plays an important role in ensuring equitable, sustainable and productive rural economies. In addition to being an essential element for agricultural production, nutrition and human health, water enables job opportunities in numerous key sectors across the rural economy. In order to address the problem of sustainability, rural communities MUST actively participate in rural water supply activities. And to ensure lifeline drinking water security under all circumstance Water supply system in the form of a grid supplying metered bulk water to village by adopting an appropriate system of pricing. The drinking MUST be: Use coagulation treatment method; use Filtration treatment method; maintain the physical and chemical characteristics of water & use Disinfection method.
