Harmonics assessment is essential for large wind and solar power plants' connection to the transmission grid. This relies upon harmonic modeling and simulation studies. The panel will address various aspects of the requirements for accurate harmonic modeling characteristics of inverter-based resources (IBRs) in the framework of the IEEE Standards development (e.g. 519.2, 1457, P2800.2).
Presentations in this panel session:
- IEEE Harmonics Standards for Wind and PV Solar Plants (23PESGM2807)
- How to model IBRs for harmonic studies (23PESGM2808)
- Review of IBR Modeling Research and Practice (23PESGM4044)
- CIGRE' WG C4.65 (23PESGM4012)
- Pre-Energization Harmonics Studies for Wind, Solar, and BESS Power Plants (23PESGM4043)
