Super Session 19 Jul 2023

Power system environments are cyber-physical critical infrastructure with interdependent electrical and communications networks whose security and integrity underpin resilience. When engineered properly these technologies provide increased operational reliability helping to recover from storms and other outages with exponentially greater speed and help to facilitate a greener power grid. Additionally, newer technologies like IEC61850 are fundamentally changing the way we think about and design substations. However, increasing cyber-physical threats along with technology and policy drivers heighten the importance of providing, accurate, timely, and actionable cyber-physical security information. This session will provide a forum for leading experts in power systems communication and cybersecurity to share the latest emerging challenges, opportunities, and results for integrating these technologies and securing critical energy delivery infrastructure. Presentations in this panel session: - Are You Cyber Safe? (23PESGM4414)

Chairs:
Nathan Wallace Cybirical, Katherine Davis
