Decarbonization is driving the electrification, decentralization and digitalization of power grids. The complexity of grid operation with DERs, e-mobility, prosumers and the large number of large to small-sized batteries, requires an automated support of the operators and an autonomous operation of at least parts of the electrical power system. The session will present innovative approaches and practical examples of different levels of automation, from assistant systems to autonomous operation.
Presentations in this panel session:
- Protection System Adaptation with an Automated Assistance System (23PESGM4197)
- Adaptive Protection Relaying ñ Example of a Hardware Implementation (23PESGM4198)
- Assistant Systems for Distribution Grids ñ Concepts Based on the Distribution System Dynamics (23PESGM4200)
