How can disadvantaged communities be fully part of the path toward grid modernization and a clean energy future? Answering this question and successfully integrating energy equity considerations into power systems planning and operations requires a range of approaches including strong community engagement, rethinking program design, and more. But a key and emerging part of the puzzle is successfully capturing equity and justice considerations in power systems modeling. This panel will explore recent trends and efforts for modeling equity, with a goal of collecting a diverse range of experiences and approaches.
