This panel is intended to recognize the best emerging academic work that falls under the scope and enhances the mission of the Power and Energy Society (https://www.ieee-pes.org/about-pes). Nominations will be solicited from recent Ph.D. (or equivalent) graduates that defended their dissertation within the last three calendar years at the time of the nomination deadline. An evaluation committed formed from PEEC members (led by the PEEC Awards Subcommittee Chair) will evaluate the outstanding contributions made by the candidate to the PES. Four qualified candidates will be selected to present their work (25 minutes each). The intended audience for the panel is undergraduate and graduate students, and other early career academic professionals.
