With the rapid climate change and its harmful and destructive impacts to the human, electric utilities, states, countries, corporations, and other entities are setting 100% clean electricity and 100% clean energy goals to address the emerging challenges resulted from the climate change. 100% clean energy focuses on getting all energy from clean and renewable energy resources. However, shifting the global primary energy supply to clean and renewable energy sources requires a transition and significant effort of the energy industry, since most of today's energy is derived from traditional fossil fuels. This panel brings industry and academic researchers together to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the transition toward to 100% clean energy. These include issues related to affordability, dependability, reliability, resilience, etc. of electric power systems associated with the transition. Presentations in this panel session: - Reliability of Deeply Decarbonized Power Systems (23PESGM0825) - Expressing Grid Resilience with Dynamic Stability Metrics (23PESGM0826) - Power from the Prairie Interregional HVDC line Concept Development Study (23PESGM0827) - Challenges for Renewable Plant and Grid Integration (23PESGM0828)
