Situational awareness and decision support to the power grid operators is critical for minimizing the impact of extreme events on the grid services. Tools in control centers are intended to meet operational reliability and security criteria for single or double component outages and may not help during multiple outages. This panel will focus on the mathematical and data-driven solutions for enhancing the robustness of the existing tools or new modules for enhanced situational awareness and decision support in the control center during extreme events for enabling grid resiliency. Panel will also discuss state-of-the-art and future needs for grid resiliency tool.
