Inverter-based resource (IBR) grid integration requires sufficient planning studies with adequate dynamic models. The grid industry is pushing for OEM electromagnetic transient (EMT) models of IBRs with granular details to be used. This panel focuses on how to better utilize the EMT models of IBRs to achieve fast time-domain simulation and linear system-based stability analysis. Recent research results on measurement-based admittance modeling considering variety of operating conditions, fast simulation via admittance models, reduced-order model structure design, and model parameter tuning via measurement data will be disseminated through this panel. The speakers are leading researchers in this area from both academia and industry.
