Panel 19 Jul 2022

Conservation voltage reduction (CVR) is a cost?effective way to deliver energy efficiency benefits to customers. However, the measurement and verification of CVR benefits is challenging and lacks a standard procedure. A CVR standard will provide specific guidance on CVR measurement and verification by providing data management practices. A standard will further assist electric utilities in determining the true value of their CVR efforts, provide support in regulatory reporting, and provide an established method of verification methodology selection based on the data collection practices. This panel brings together subject matter experts from multiple utilities and technology providers across the US to provide a practical perspective into some of these challenges and the need for a standard. The panelists will further share their experiences with practical CVR programs as well as IEEE efforts in developing a CVR measurement and verification standard.
