New Technologies for Data Analytics in Wide Area Monitoring Protective and Control Systems

Wide area monitoring protection and control techniques are considered as one of the main enabling technology for enhancing power system security and resilience. Based on data analytics on measured data streaming, smart algorithms are also applied by means of which, decisions will timely take place to protect power systems and to avoid large blackouts.
