Panel 19 Jul 2022

Driven by the development of information, communication and measurement acquisition technology, the huge amount of data are playing a more important role in the modern power grids. More data is accordingly equivalent to an increased need for fast, intelligent, and reliable data analytics. This panel will discuss the big data analytics and corresponding applications for a more secure and reliable power grid. Several important topics are included in this panel session, such as using quantum computing to handle big data with faster speed, applying machine learning in protection, outage detection and modelling, load shedding, as well as using cutting-edge AI technologies to improve power grid security and reliability during emergent events.
