Update from the IEEE – NERC Task Force Developing a Technical Report on the Integration of Cyber and Physical Security into Bulk Power System Planning, Operations, Design, and Restoration Activities

Around September 2020 the IEEE and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) initiated a task force to develop a technical report on the integration of cyber and physical security into bulk power system planning, operations, design, and restoration activities. Since the official kickoff in November 2020, the task force has been working on developing this report based around the following key themes: threats, planning, design, operations, and emerging technologies. This panel brings together key members of the task force developing the technical report an will provide an update on work completed so far and the roadmap to completion. Attendees can expect to learn about the task force, what progress in being made, technical summaries of the work being completed, when the work is expected to complete, provide input into the development through discussion, and how interested parties can join the task force.
