Critical infrastructure™s vulnerability to cyber-attacks continues to be a growing concern for our national and economic security. Within critical infrastructure, U.S. practitioners believe that electric power is the most vulnerable sector of critical infrastructure along with data centers. Northern Virginia is home to the largest cluster of data centers in the country, known as ˜Data Center Alley™. New sectors such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality and the Internet of things continue to proliferate from data center and IT infrastructure development, along with most importantly, reliable power. This panel will explore the practices being put in place ensure reliable power for data center and the critical infrastructure in the region? How is the security of the power being handled? How is backup being considered What technologies? Ultimately, how do we achieve high power standards while balancing costs?
