There are fundamental challenges that must be addressed to develop a zero-carbon power system by 2035. These challenges include operating the power system with less inertia, the need for more flexibility to account for the increase in variable renewable resources, accommodating the electrification of transportation, etc. During this session, subject matter experts will present some of the latest innovations in these key areas that must be addressed to meet this goal.
