Dynamic phasor modeling bridges the gap between detailed electromagnetic transient (EMT) modeling and phasor-based modeling methods by providing extended harmonic range and reduced computational complexity. In recent years, and in light of emerging low-inertia grids wherein large frequency swings are common, modeling of very large systems using dynamic phasors and co-simulation platforms have attracted a great deal of attention.
This panel session builds upon the work of the TF on Dynamic Phasor Modeling Techniques and brings leading experts who present the state-of-art in modeling components (machines and converters) and systems using dynamic phasors.
