Modern power systems consist of multi-type energies (including renewable energies) and various loads, in which the operation and control become more complicated. The proper load models and precise power system simulations are very important.
Load models and simulations need to accommodate the rapidly evolving power industry incorporating both conventional and new inverter connected renewable elements. Development in power electronics, smart grid technologies, demand side control and increasing renewable energy uptake have made load modeling an increasingly challenging essential element for system operations and planning to ensure system security while maintain economic efficiency and emission reduction objectives. The new load modeling approaches in power grid with multi-type energies are needed.
This panel session will explore the following topics:
a. Analysis of the features for multi-type energies
b. Load modeling and simulation considering multi-type energies
c. Load modeling and simulation considering renewable energies
d. Power System Simulations with Various Load Models
e. Advanced methods for Load modeling and simulation
