Panel Session 03 Aug 2020

This panel focuses on the uses of Big Data to predict outages in Transmission and Distribution systems. The panel talks are focusing on different aspect of such applications: data sources, data preparation (cleansing, ingestion, curation and fusion), data management, data analytics, the prediction uses, impact on resilience, and impact on reliability. The presenters come from different background (vendors, utility, academic institution, federal lab), and will provide insight into value proposition, business cases, research questions and barriers, lessons learned from large‐scale testbed demonstrations, deployments in the utility settings, and future opportunities.
