Panel 12 Aug 2019

The German Energy law focuses on the goal of 80% RES in the electricity sector by 2050. The increasing use of distributed generation in LV and MV networks emphasis their contribution to control and stability aspects of the overall energy supply systems. Therefore, new methods and planning tools for allocation the required flexibilities and the development of new control strategies are necessary for enabling an optimal use of RES in the distribution grid. The panel will provide the newest research results in running research programs, pilot and demonstration projects in Europe concerning sector coupling, multi Energy systems, power to X opportunities and smart grid technologies in active distributions grids.

Chairs:
Johanna Myrzik, Mart Van Der Meijden
