Panel 12 Aug 2019

Energy Internet (EI), a deep combination of energy system and the Internet, with Energy System Integration (ESI) as its interpretation in physical layer, is an emerging concept to shape the next-generation energy system. After years of research and development, there are already some demonstration project and successful applications with EI and ESI in different scenes, which can provide us a better understanding and clearer future trend of EI and ESIs development. The panelists will give talks about the details of EI and ESI by summarizing some testbed, tools and real examples for advanced technology related with EI and ESI, based on the topic theyve been working on these years, e.g. smart cities, industrial park, smart buildings, etc. Some observed benefits in terms of planning and operation, including energy efficiency improvement, reduced energy cost, etc. will be introduced with suggestions and pathway on how to realize those benefits.
