Panel Session 06 Aug 2019

Emerging risks and computational advancements present opportunities to improve grid resiliency through adjusted, flexible and adaptive power grid operational practice. This panel will discuss existing and proposed operations schemes aimed at improving power system resiliency during extreme events. Additionally, panelists will highlight opportunities for operational resiliency improvements while addressing deficiencies in requisite coordination (between operators, operational support, crews, policy-makers, and others), data, and asset control to realize these opportunities. This panel will also discuss need and plan for integrating resilience into university curriculum.
