This Task Force (TF) report aims to: 1) identify the theoretical barriers of State Estimation (SE) for Integrated Energy Systems (IESs), such as modeling, observability analysis/measurement requirements, addressing multiscale dynamics and different sources of energy, wide engagements of ubiquitous communication resources, as well as their practical applications; 2) gather industrial perspectives and provide solutions and recommendations to vendors, national labs, utilities, and Independent System Operators (ISOs) in using SE for IESs modeling, monitoring, operation, and control and 3) educate the next generation of power engineers for Integrated Energy Systems State Estimation (IES-SE) and applications and students in learning and using new tools.
