Capacity Analysis can be an essential tool for modernizing our grid and finally unlocking the value of distribution grid capacity. This class will provide updates on many recent utility planning policies for publishing Integration or Hosting Capacity Analysis. Capacity analysis also becomes an important dataset in evaluating Non-Wires Alternatives. Data can be used to tackle big picture challenges and location specific needs of the grid. In addition, the rapid electrification of transport depends on the utilities' ability to forecast capacity and meet the demand under ever-changing mix of generation resources. This is why the concepts of capacity analysis should be promoted and developed to achieve a stronger, smarter, and greener electric grid.
