Our emphasis in developing the symposium and this resulting publication was on analysis of low frequency electromechnical oscillations. One paper, however, discusses eigenanalysis of subsynchronous resonance associated with series capacitor compensated lines. Another paper describes eigenanalysis of second harmonic resonance related to a back-to-back dc link and associated static var compensator.
