The panel will address issues raised by behind meter renewable generation resources and distributed energy resources (e.g. photovoltaic, electric vehicles, energy storage devices, demand response pro- grams). The panelists are expected to discuss the following topics: design considerations for low-cost plug-and-play roof-top solar PVs; modeling and control of vehicle charging loads; AC/DC mixed microgrid for renewable integrations; demand response for micro-grid power and energy management; aggregated impact of distributed energy resources on grid operation and energy management software design.
